Royal wedding fashion: The trends

BLUSH TONES:
Pretty blush tones proved to be one of the most popular choices for guests attending the royal wedding Friday.

BLUSH SHOES:
Princess Maxima; Princess Ameerah; Letizia, Princess of Asturias; Princess Beatrice; Justine Thornton; Samantha Cameron (who braved an open-toe sandal version); the Duchess of Kent; Carole Middleton; Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Princess Anne all chose the spring-appropriate footwear.

FABULOUS HATS:
Princess Beatrice in a FABULOUS creation by Philip Treacy; Miriam Gonzalez Durantez in a floral-adorned turban; Tara Palmer-Tomkinson in electric blue courtesy of milliner Philip Treacy;and Victoria Beckham's bespoke Philip Treacy hat matched her dress(which looked Ah-mazing on her!)

NAVY BLUE:
Navy blue was a bold choice but elegant for fashion-forward thinkers Sophie Winkleman(in Giorgio Armani),Victoria Beckham in one of her own designs, and Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman wearing Christopher Kane skirt and jacket, Manolo Blahnik shoes and a headpiece by Kate Halfpenny(LOVE IT!).

COLOUR BLOCKING:
Tara Palmer-Tomkinson DAZZLED in an electric blue dress by Deborah Milner, hat by Philip Treacy and shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood. Joss Stone in bright pink,and Samantha Cameron in a jade palette by Burberry London.

DRESS COATS:
Princess Anne and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, both sported elegant dress coats,(which were perfect for the April climate) Camilla chose to wear Anna Valentine, who designed the gown she wore to marry Prince Charles. The powdery tones of her coatdress perfectly complimented her Philip Treacy hat.
